The Hip To Be Square photography exhibition offers the photographer the opportunity to exhibit their photographs in the 1:1 aspect ratio format, also known as the square.
This photography exhibition is an open theme, there are no boundaries to your creativity, just that the print size is 5” x 5”.
On Friday, December 9th between 4:00 – 7:00pm, photographers will stop by the BAC to matte, sign, frame and install their 5” x 5” square prints and enjoy the Installation Pizza Party (BYOB).
The Installation Pizza Party allows the photographers to have fun, meet other photographers, discuss their creative process (if they want) and support this BAC FUNdraiser.

HOW TO ENTER
Conditions:
- Open to photographers of all ages
- A maximum of 5 pieces may be submitted
- The print size must be 5” x 5”
- The print must be of high quality
- You must drop off, matte, sign, frame and install your 5” x 5” photographs with guidance
- The BAC will provide the matte and black frames for your photographs
- All photographs must be for sale @ $65. All sales are point of purchase. They take your framed photographs home at point of purchase. (no waiting until the end of the exhibition)

Entry Fees:
BAC members:
$40 for the first entry includes matte, frame and pizza
$10 for each additional entry includes matte and frames up to 5
Non-members:
$50 for the first entry includes matte, frame and pizza
$15 for each additional entry includes matteand frames up to 5
Membership may be purchased or renewed at checkout. All show entry fees are non-refundable and payment must be received before your entry is processed.
Delivering Works:
Art sold is subject to a 25% commission fee for members and 40% for non-members. Sales tax will be added to the price of work sold. Remittance of NJ Sales Tax will be handled by BAC. All artists with sales commissions of $600 or more per calendar year are required to furnish their SS# or Tax ID# to Belmar Arts. A 1099-MISC for taxable income will be issued by Belmar Arts for sales commissions of $600 or higher. Commissions are paid at the close of the show.
Liability disclaimer:
BAC will make every effort to treat your artwork with care. However, work is submitted at the artist’s risk. BAC and the exhibit directors, curators, installers, or gallery sitters will not be held liable for lost or damaged work. Artists are responsible for insuring their work from delivery to pick-up.
Media/Press Release:
BAC reserves the right to use digital images of exhibited artworks for the purpose of promotion of this exhibit and BAC on social media, websites, and advertising.
Late Pick-up Penalty: If you cannot pick up your work during the advertised time, you must arrange for someone else to pick it up. Work left beyond two weeks after the advertised pick-up date will be considered abandoned. Abandoned work will become the property of the BAC and will be sold to benefit the BAC.
