EXHIBITION AND SALE ENTRY RULES

Online registering of work: Saturday, July 6 – Thursday, July 18, 2013
We are asking you to complete this online registration form so that we can plan for the layout of the show.  If you have a change after completing the form, substitutions are allowed but please keep them to a minimum.  Entry fees will be paid at time of delivery.

Type of Work Eligible for Show:
Open to artists age 16 & up. All media is acceptable for entry to the show. Artwork must depict the theme of the show, Belmar and Our Neighbors, which is that of the seashore and surrounding towns of Belmar. Though a non-juried show all art must be presented in a professional manner and this determination is at sole discretion of art show co-directors.

Fine art: Framed paintings, drawings, photography and other fine art prepared for wall hanging. The price for fine art is unlimited and there is a maximum of two entries per artist. The number of pieces accepted will be based upon gallery space available and final determination of acceptance is at the discretion of the show committee.

Crafts: All entries must be unique, one of a kind, original artisan creations. All entries must be display ready. In addition to handmade craft items, we will accept unique one-of-a-kind cards, postcards, and similar items relating to theme of the show. The maximum price for a craft artwork is $50. Multiple craft entries of up to 12 pieces by the artisan may be entered.

Sale: All entries must be available for sale.

Items sold are subject to a 25% commission, which goes to fund the BelmarArts.

Artists are responsible for the payment of all sales tax on items sold at the BelmarArts for this show.

The show is “cash and carry”. If a craft or fine art item is sold the artist may replace it with another item for sale at no additional fee.

Entry Fee: Fine arts for hanging: BelmarArts member – $10/piece
                 Non-member – $15/piece
                 Maximum – 2 pieces

                 Objets d’arts/crafts: BelmarArts member – 1 – 3 items $5
4 – 6 items $10
                 7 – 12 items $15

Non-member – 1 – 3 items $10
                 4 – 6 items $15
                 7 – 12 items $20

Entry fees will be paid at time of delivery.

Best use of Shells

Most unusual Kite

Strangest use or depiction of Seaweed

Best inclusion of Seaglass

Most interesting integration of the Written Word

Most Awesome Sunrise

Best Use of Humor

Ribbons will be awarded at the Opening Reception by and at the discretion of the show committee.

Media/Press Release: BelmarArts reserves the right to use digital images of accepted and exhibited entries for the sole purpose of media and website PR and advertising. Digital images will be those photographs taken by BelmarArts staff and press photographers.
