Yarn Bombed Bike 8/8/14 Meeting

Our Yarn Bombed Bike Project now is part of the Art Bike collection at Second Life Bikes in Asbury Park!

This shared interest group meets bi-monthly to share tips and tricks for all types of fiber arts and a make & take project!
Please bring in your latest project for show and tell or your favorite book or notion to share with other fiber artists!
This group will meet on Friday, January 20 from 1-3pm and the make it and take it will be working with Craftex – a sewable paper!

All types of fiber artists (paper, fabric, yarn) and experience levels are welcome to attend. No registration is required. Free for BelmarArts members! Guests are warmly welcome for any two shared interest group meetings but after that membership purchase is required.

Solvy Scarves on 6/27/14: Step one is to lay fibers out on a piece of Sulky Solvy which is a water soluble stabilizer, add another layer of Solvy making a “sandwich”, pin & randomly sew through all three layers to secure the fibers using a complimentary thread. Rinse out Solvy in tepid water, blot dry on a towel and enjoy!
