Two selected artists will EACH receive exhibit space for their own SOLO show in our Rear Gallery and an opening reception hosted by BelmarArts! SoloX2 is held in conjunction with our popular Winter Solstice Artisan Market in the Front Gallery!

Entry guidelines:

-Artwork in all media except videos and performance art can be submitted, and must be wall-mountable only.
-The Gallery can accommodate approx. 20-30 pieces depending on size* and one print stand.
*We strongly encourage you to tour the Gallery before applying if you are not familiar with the space.
-We cannot accommodate sculpture pedestals or easels in our rear Gallery space.
-All work must be for sale. You may place (1) print stand with wrapped prints that are clearly labeled with price.
-Artists must be 16 years or older.
-Artwork can not have been previously exhibited at Belmar Arts as a SOLO X2 exhibit
-Artwork previously exhibited in a group exhibit at BelmarArts may be submitted for this show only.
-Juror will select artists based on the images and statements submitted. Installed works are not limited to those pieces submitted but those selected by the chosen artists. BelmarArts reserves the right to edit selected work.
– Selected artists will be notified on or before Friday, November 10. If accepted, please be prepared to provide a suitable image for publicity.

Digital Image Submission Specifications:
You must submit quality images of your entry as the juror reviews the images online only for acceptance.
There are many online resources, local photographers or print centers to assist you in taking good images of your art work. Due to the large volume of entries, we can no longer assist individuals with photographing your work and presenting your artwork in the best quality image possible is ESSENTIAL when being viewed by a juror. Please photograph all artwork without a frame, mat or other objects in the background.

Online Entry Form and Fees:
An entry form, up to 7 quality images, artist statement, valid email and payment online are required for this exhibit. The entry fee is payable online to BelmarArts via credit card or PayPal account (non-refundable) at the time of form submission. You will receive an auto-generated email that your entry form only has been received. You should also receive a separate confirmation that your payment was received. If your form will not submit, please check the image file size as it may be too large for our system and your form will be disabled.
Entry fee: $45 members/$60 nonmembers

Juror: Jenn Hampton, Director/Curator of Parlor Gallery in Asbury Park, NJ
Jenn Hampton is an arts and music curator. She is the part owner, co-director and curator of Parlor Gallery in Asbury Park, NJ. She is also the owner of Little Death Collective, the creative team behind the Asbury Lanes, also in Asbury Park, NJ. Jenn attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she studied printmaking and theater arts. She spent many years pursuing acting, art and documentary film production after college. Her acting pursuits lead her to moving to New Jersey in 2000. She re-located to Asbury Park to help create and build Asbury Lanes. In the eleven years at Asbury Lanes, Jenn helped to create a national and international fan base of performers, bands and burlesque acts, in addition to creating an innovative gallery program that
focused on young art collectors. The success of Asbury Lanes helped to create a destination in Asbury Park for music lovers, artists and performers from all over the country. Parlor Gallery is located in Asbury Park and have been open since 2009. We curate 10-12 exhibitions a year, in addition to exhibiting at art fairs in NYC and Miami. In addition to her duties at Parlor Gallery and Asbury Lanes, she has curated exhibitions for museums, galleries and alternative spaces. Jenn is currently working with Madison Marquette, one of the lead developers in Asbury Park, to create a public arts program that showcases murals and public art on the Asbury Park Boardwalk called the Wooden Walls Project.

Installation instructions:
-Selected artists will hand deliver, install and remove artwork on dates listed above. A member of BelmarArts will be available to help with install and removal.
-Wall hangings must be wired and ready to hang (no saw-tooth hangers or cleats)
-Maximum size for any artwork is 48” in any direction.
-Any framed two-dimensional pieces over 36 inches normally displayed under glass must have Plexiglass.
-25 lb. maximum weight for work intended to hang on walls.
-Both artists must provide an inventory sheet (Excel format preferred) of displayed works including the title and  price of each prior to installation so that Gallery tags may be created or you may choose to create your own.
-All unsold work must remain installed for the duration of the exhibit.
-BelmarArts does not accept shipped artwork.

Commission:
Items sold are subject to 30% commission fee for members and 40% commission for non-members. Sales tax will be added to the price of work sold. Collection of payments and remittance of NJ Sales Tax will be handled by BelmarArts. All artists with sales commissions of $600 or more per calendar year are required to furnish their SS# or Tax ID# to Belmar Arts. A 1099-MISC for taxable income will be issued by Belmar Arts for annual sales commissions of $600 or higher. You will be notified via email regarding sales of your work during the show. Commissions are mailed or sent to your PayPal account after the show ends.
Liability Disclaimer:
BelmarArts will make every effort to treat your artwork with care. However, artwork is submitted at the artist’s risk. BelmarArts will not be held liable for lost, stolen or damaged work. Artists are responsible for insuring their work from delivery to pick-up.
Media/Press Release:
BelmarArts reserves the right to use digital images of accepted and exhibited entries for the sole purpose of social media, website PR and advertising. Digital images will be those photographs submitted for entry or taken by BelmarArts staff and press photographers.
