Theme and Description
Children bring a fresh, unfiltered perspective to the world, full of wonder, creativity, and boundless imagination. “Child’s Play” invites artists of all ages to celebrate childhood in its many forms—through depictions of kids, works created by kids, and interpretations of how children see the world.
Children see the world with fresh eyes, endless curiosity, and boundless imagination. This theme invites artists to explore the essence of childhood—its wonder, joy, challenges, and unique perspectives.
Capture the moments that define youth: the freedom of play, the beauty of innocence, the chaos of discovery, and the emotions that shape their lives. Whether you’re inspired by personal memories, the universal experiences of growing up, or the ways children influence and shape the world around them, this theme celebrates the spirit of being a kid.
Submissions are welcome in all mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media.
This broad theme welcomes diverse submissions, including:
- Art featuring children: Portraits, moments of play, family connections, or scenes that capture the spirit of youth.
- Art by children: Showcasing the unbridled creativity of young artists in any medium.
- Art inspired by childhood perspectives: Imaginative interpretations of how kids view the world, from their wonder at everyday moments to their dreams of the future.
- Art depictions: Capturing the emotional highs and lows of growing up.
- Imaginative interpretations: Including play, learning, or storytelling.
- Scenes that highlight the bonds between children and their families, friends, or environments.
