“While most photographers are dedicated to capturing fleeting moments by slicing seconds into even smaller fractions, Michael S. Miller has a different tale to tell…Michael takes the time to let the moments simply accrue in what he calls Long Light…” Long Light, Michael S. Miller Takes It Slow written by Barry Tanenbaum SHUTTER BUG MAGAZINE
Long Light exposures are the interaction of movement, light, and time which creates a serendipitous result.
This is an interactive, assignment driven webshop. The first session starts with Long Light theory, where Michael will share his thoughts, techniques, expose the mystery, and secrets of Long Light. He will discuss exposures beyond one second, the quality of light, appropriate shooting conditions, pre-visualization, equipment required and more.
After the two hour webshop, you will have a week to head to your favorite location with moving water, wind and/or movement to make Long Light exposures. Michael will send each photographer the webshop recording to listen to again, when making your long light exposures.
The follow up webshop provides time for Michael to support you in optimizing your images, and sharing with the rest of the group.
Required Equipment:
We encourage you to register early since enrollment is limited.
