CREATE A MAGICAL POPPET
A ZOOM WORKSHOP

We can make arrangements for you to pick up supplies at the BAC or add shipping and supplies will be mailed to you.

A “poppet" is a magical doll created in many cultures around the world to bring about some desired end. Anthropologist and artist Louise Krasniewicz will explain the ancient and contemporary uses for poppets in sympathetic magic and will show examples from other cultures. Then participants in the workshop will create two poppets, one with a pre-sewn body and one freeform using mixed media materials. Whether you have  belief system that utilizes poppets or just want to create a charm for love, healing, or protection, a poppet of your own creation will help you focus your attention on the important things in your life. All materials are provided but you can also add your own charms, fabric, yarn, beads, and paint. (90 minutes, online using ZOOM)
