Let’s Explore Water Color Painting
A guaranteed painting with each class!
Susanna Anastasia comes to Belmar Arts having spent 30 plus years teaching the basics of watercolor painting.
Students will begin to explore the mechanics of this medium along with the properties of paint, paper and water.
You will be proud of the results.

Watercolor Supplies - Susanna Anastasia
Watercolor paper 140 lb ph free D’Arches – Canson – etc.
Paint brushes with short handles, soft bristles
Paint in metal tubes: four colors needed for class
Red, blue, yellow – burnt umber by Winsor/Newton, Grumbacher or economy set with additional colors
NO Pan Paints!
Palette (could be white plastic dinner plate or a professional white plastic
Palette with cover
Pencil Bic mechanicals or #2 pencil
Kneaded Eraser (usually gray)
16x20 support - foam core, cardboard (keep it light weight)
Masking tape – 1 roll
Water container, plastic---- no glass
Absorbent rag or paper towels
One large sturdy bag to transport all supplies.
