Students will explore the mechanics of this medium along with the properties of paint, paper and water.
You will be proud of the results.

Watercolor Supplies - Susanna Anastasia
Watercolor paper 140 lb cold press- ph free (Fluid or D’Arches ) Pads or full sheets cut into quarters.
Paint brushes with short handles, soft bristles :
1” flat * 6”round * #3 or #4 scripter and fan brush (hard bristles)
Paint in metal tubes: four colors needed for class:
Red, blue, yellow – burnt umber by Winsor/Newton, Grumbacher or economy set with additional colors - sold in sets of 12 or 24
NO Pan Paints!
Palette (could be white plastic dinner plate or a professional white plastic (with a cover if possible)
Pencil Bic mechanicals or #2 pencil
Kneaded Eraser (usually gray)
16x20 support - foam core, cardboard (keep it light weight)
Masking tape – 1 roll
Water container- plastic---- no glass
Absorbent rag or paper towels – spray bottle (small)
One large sturdy bag to transport all supplies.
