2020 Fiber Arts Plus

Fiber Art is form of fine art that elevates the use of textiles such as fabric, yarn, natural and synthetic fibers with the focus on the materials and on the techniques used to make art with these materials. The emphasis is on the aesthetics rather than the utility of the resulting work.
The Fiber Arts Plus Show welcomes artists working with many fiber-related media and techniques. These included quilting, weaving, wearable, felting, beading, basketry, knitting, crocheting, macramé, doll-making, embroidery, fabric collage, assemblage, altered books, and surface design.
As a “Plus” we welcomed any other type of creative mixed media that incorporated fiber-related techniques such as weaving with paper, stitching over paint on canvas, etc.
