Amaze your friends and family by turning a flat piece of paper into a dog , cat, swan, rabbit, and hopping frog using the ancient art of Origami, Japanese paper folding. Create an origami turkey for a Thanksgiving decoration and a snapping turkey beak to “nip” your friends. Mrs. Norby, will lead you through the folds with easy step-by-step demonstrated instructions.
Karen Norby, artist, art educator (Manasquan School District for 29 years) and origami maven, has been teaching origami to adults and children for 35 years. Last summer, Karen taught origami to 2nd through 7th grade students, at the rural Mbririizi Advanced Primary and Day School, Uganda, Africa. The children were amazed when they learned how to turn a 2-D piece of copy paper into a 3-D form with simple folds.
Students will be provided with all papers, directions and tools.
Come have some fun while tickling your brain!
